Neptune's Transition from Pisces to Aries: What will it mean for you?

A Shift from Trust to Sovereignty

Since 2011, Neptune has been transiting through Pisces, a time when spirituality, intuition, and imagination became more mainstream. We've seen meditation, astrology, and energy work go from niche to normal. But with this rise, we've also seen spiritual deception, guru culture, and superficial spirituality take centre stage. Social media created an illusion of wisdom, where followers trusted influencers without question, and spirituality became more about branding than inner truth.

I personally felt very impacted by this transit now that I look back. 2011 was a year of huge spiritual awakening and change, I got sober from drugs and alcohol and I left my desk job as a research assistant at an Investment Bank for the life of a blogger/digital nomad travelling around the world working at detox retreats and reviewing retreats. I was into Astrology back then, but more sun sign style, and didn’t really understand the profundity of Neptune changing signs - now I do!

So I invite you to also look back at your experience of Neptune in Pisces as much as we tune into Aries (and this statement in itself is very Neptune in Aries to me!)

On March 30, 2025, Neptune moves into Aries, where it will stay (with a brief retrograde back into Pisces) until 2039. This marks the beginning of a completely new 165-year Neptune cycle—one that is fiery, bold, and self-sovereign. Every archetype in astrology as a spectrum of expression - we can call it higher and low. So in Pisces we had higher expressions of the rise of spirituality in the mainstream, but with that some shadow sides came like instagram spirituality and blind trust in influencers. In Aries we’ll have different opportunities and challenges. I’m hoping that the age of direct experience, inner mastery, and truth-seeking is beginning.

Saturn will join Neptune at 0° Aries in early 2026, reinforcing this shift. This is a moment of spiritual accountability. The illusions that worked under Neptune in Pisces will crumble. What’s left will be raw, real, and ready to be built upon.

What Happens When Neptune Moves into Aries?

Neptune is the planet of spirituality, dreams, ideals, and illusions. Aries is a sign of fire, action, independence, and leadership. Together, they bring a completely different energy than what we’ve known for the past 13 years.

Themes of Neptune in Aries:

Spirituality as Self-Empowerment: Less blind trust and more inner knowing. People will hopefully harness their intuition as a superpower for sovereignty and being a spiritual warrior rather than relying on external teachers or influencers.

Astrology as a Language, Not a Forecast: More people will learn astrology for themselves—understanding how to track transits, interpret charts, and apply it directly to their lives.

The Fall of False Gurus: Many spiritual leaders have already been exposed under Neptune in Pisces, but I feel we’ll see a further shift to more heterarchy style spiritual relationships and communities.

Meditation Without Guidance: More people will move away from guided meditations and apps, instead learning to sit with themselves, explore their own consciousness, and develop direct inner wisdom.

The End of Glamour Spirituality: Less “Instagram” fake spirituality and more raw truth, direct connection, and real practice.

Looking Back: The Last Neptune in Aries (1861–1875)

This transit can lead people to fight or stand up for what they believe in. Last time Neptune was  ini Aries there was The American Civil War (1861–1865) a fight over ideals, equality, and the future of a nation.

There were also Scientific & Technological Breakthroughs—the invention of the typewriter, dynamite, and early genetics research. Aries is a very pioneering energy and with Pluto in Aquarius I think we’ll see a lot of pioneering inventions using AI that hopefully to create more freedom for the collective.

Neptune in Pisces (2011–2025): The Era We’re Leaving

Neptune in Pisces brought a huge wave of digital spirituality, blurred realities, and boundary-less connection (through the internet and social media). But it also brought illusion, deception, and a lack of discernment.

The Illusion of Spiritual Authority: Many so-called gurus and influencers gained large followings, despite lacking true depth.

Instagram Spirituality: The rise of “spiritual branding” over actual practice—where image and aesthetic mattered more than substance.

Over-Reliance on Guidance: Meditation apps, guided practices, and astrology forecasts became mainstream, but many people stopped listening to themselves.

Blind Trust in Online Wisdom: People followed spiritual advice without checking its sources or integrating the knowledge directly into their own lives.

But now, with Neptune in Aries, the softness of Pisces gives way to the sharp edge of fire, and hopefully more independence, mastery, and truth.

The Saturn-Neptune Conjunction (2026): A Cosmic Reality Check

In February 2026, Saturn and Neptune will meet at 0° Aries, the first degree of the zodiac. This is huge! Saturn and Neptune meet every 36 years but to meet at this Action Point is next level, and many astrologers aren’t even sure when this last happens. Will it be a hard reset on a global scale?

Historically, Saturn-Neptune cycles coincide with the fall of old systems and the rise of new ones:

1989—The Berlin Wall falls, marking the end of the Cold War.

1917—The Russian Revolution topples the monarchy.

1953—A global reordering post-WWII, Stalin’s death, and shifts in world power.

What to Expect from Neptune in Aries (2025–2039)

Direct Experience is Key

A return to direct experience—people will rely on their own intuition over external teachers.

More self-led learning in astrology, mysticism, and esoteric practices.

The dismantling of spiritual hierarchies—and a move to more independence and heterarchy in communities.

A New Relationship with Meditation & Inner Work

I’m hoping we’ll see less guided meditation, more direct internal experience.

A shift toward active spiritual practices—breathwork, visualization, trance states.

More people learning how to work with their own energy and mind without needing external validation.

Truth Over Glamour

Less interest in aestheticised spirituality, more focus on real, raw, unfiltered truth.

A shift from “high-vibe” culture to embracing all aspects of being, including the uncomfortable and real.

Less performing spirituality, more living it. Often we’ve been captivated by the vision and dream of spirituality in Pisces - that’s the glamour. Aries is about each of us living it and using it for our freedom.

A New Era of Discernment

I’m hoping people will question everything—especially spiritual leaders, influencers, and traditions.

A hunger for living knowledge to make it our own wisdom. Aries is an action sign. Knowledge + Experience = Wisdom. You cannot copy wisdom from others, it’s comes from your own direct experience. We may see a shift of more people studying ancient texts, learning astrology for themselves, and deepening their practice without middlemen.

A Call to Sovereignty

Neptune in Aries demands that we take responsibility for our own growth, wisdom, and spiritual authority.

Less external seeking, more internal mastery.

This is about embodied spirituality, where wisdom is not just understood but lived and acted upon.
