3 ways to shift your energy when you’re feeling funky

I used to have this vision that enlightened people never got in bad moods, ever, but it’s not true!

Enlightened people are still human - but they have a set of tools and a stronger Consciousness Awareness to bring them back to centre when a curve ball hits them. 

In the ashram I attend in India that is like a University for Spirituality and learned so much there about what enlightenment really means - being centred at your bliss core - but you still experience the waves of life like everyone else. 

2020 has been a sweatshop for training in emotional intelligence and spiritual awareness.

We’ve literally been in the wringer - been forced to change how we live, evolve fast, sit and face old emotions whilst new ones wash over us daily. It hasn’t been easy.

But the thing is we have tools. Tools that if you follow their origin are how enlightened ones like Buddha managed to navigate life.

Here’s some of my favourites that I’ve given a little Belinda Matwali twist. 


1. Shake it off 

My Number 1 go-to. Shaking is an amazing energy frequency shifter that literally revitalises and realigns all your cells - this is always what I reach for when I want to move through a mood and shake off heavy energy fast. I share more about the benefits of shaking below.

2. Getting into nature + meditate 

Existence/ Source energy is everywhere, but the levels of prana/life force energy in nature is so high - it’s a great place to connect to the source energy in you and remember that nature always finds a way, and that you too will find your way, and more so when you feel connected and relaxed. 3. Dance to Music  

Music therapy is no joke. Music has been at the core of my life and through studying sound therapy as well reading and experimenting it’s no secret that music and dance can shift your mood fast. I love to dance to the Ecstasy Now Playlist that I created for the meditate living course Ecstasy Now. The course is about waaaay more than music and dance - and includes defining your individuality vs your personality, yoga nidras to work through blocks like guilt and shame around feeling good and so much more… this whole course will radically shift your frequency like nothing else, but hey even starting dancing to the playlist is going to do you wonders.

There are so many tips - but it’s great to keep things simple. I always go back to basics and share authentically what works for me.
