Expecting the Unexpected
When I had a Human Design reading in Atlo Paraiso, Brasil in early 2012 this is what the overarching theme of my chart was according to Chrisof who is an amazing human design expert.
He said my life would always be a zig zag and even up until that time it was true. By the age of 30 I’d already had several careers including Marine Biology, Investment Banking, Nutritional Therapist, I’d been married and divorced, lived on the Great Barrier Reef, London and Rio de Janeiro and lived a very chameleon like life. And SO much more has happened since then, even the fact that I’m back in London….
So now that we are facing ‘unprecedented times’ the expected is here again. And what have I learnt in my ‘expect the unexpected life’ is that we have to have a deep surrender and trust. For sure the ‘best things’ that happened to me were not my intentional doing, they were not the manifestations from my mind. It was a far greater force of source energy working through me.
When I left London to go to Brasil - not expected. I was broke, divorced, struggling to take 2 weeks holiday, but the niggles that I need to go to Brasil just didn't’ stop - I then got an amazing voluntary redundancy package from my banking job, my landlord had sold the flat I was renting and needed to move and suddenly the ‘stars aligned’ and I was on my way… I never could have expected it would be like that…
I guess the main difference now is that I really learned my meditation practice, my felt sense, and tune into how I can be dancing life with the universe, with me not leading. Or to feel like an instrument being played and the more I tune myself and relax and allow the universe to play me the more things feel in flow. That is not to say that I sit around doing nothing. Tuning your instrument is the work and then seeing in what ways the Universe wants you to be of service.
I also think it’s really important to see the unexpected as exciting, full of magic and wonder and open to all the opportunities of life. The opposite of this is obviously fear and contraction. That is generally how we are socially conditioned about change or something unexpected. Our ego likes to feel in control of the show. So the work here is to open, trust, you are not separate, you are part of the universe and the universe has a plan for you.
If you fall into a place of doubt, remember ALL the magical unexpected things that have happened on your journey - tune into that. Meditation is a perfect way of tuning your instrument to align with the divine in You, with Existence. All of my courses and offerings are designed to help you do this, I have everything from short meditations to full courses that are different and unique and could be the exact thing you’ve been looking for. My shake and sit meditation is perfect to work through nervous energy or tension and create a natural relaxation and tune into the meditation bandwidth far easier.
So for today, greet the unexpected with an open heart and mind and muse about all the magic that’s happened in your life, magic that you never expected.
