Spiritual Nutrition for Gemini Season

Glyph/Myth: The twins, Castor and Polux

Element: Air

Modality: Mutable

Qualities: Being curious, ask questions, not just going to be satisfied with the current rhetoric and ways of thinking.

Gemini season is here. In astrology the element is air and the modality is mutable - so gemini is literally like a changing breeze. It’s ruler Mercury is related to the mind, so we can see this as changing ideas, changing the mind, wanting to do both “this” and “that”.

However we when become still in that breeze, it means we can receive a multitude of insights and intuitions we remain receptive, rather than active in our thinking.

Curiosity and learning are always qualities of this sign. This is a season to be curious about life, invite back the childlike sense of awe and wonder, ask ‘why’ often rather than settling for the answers you’ve always been told…

Be curious about your inner space, read your “inner book”. Spirituality cannot be learnt in books, it needs to be experienced, and each of us have our own unique experience. True IN-formation comes from within, rather than borrowed from books or the minds of others.

Gemini represents the dual nature in us. The “this” and the “that” the dual nature of the Human + Being. Experiencing what it’s like to be in a ‘separate’ body as opposed to being in complete one-ness.

In medical astrology Gemini represents the nervous system, arms and lungs.

Breathwork that calms and balances us is the go to this season.

I recommend Balance Breath or Nodi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing).
