Is a certain placement in Astrology ‘bad’?

I get this question almost every time I read a chart. People are worried that they have been cursed or doomed to not be happy and ask if a certain placement in astrology is bad. Sometimes they’ve been self studying and found an article on the internet that casts a placement in a ‘bad’ light.

If I have Venus conjunct Chiron am I doomed in love? I have Chiron in the 7th house, what does that mean I’ll always be hurt in relationships.

I did two astrology readings recently where both of these questions came up.

Astrology is never about ‘good’ or ‘bad’.

Every placement has it’s own potential strengths and challenges.

I personally believe that our soul chooses certain aspects of our life, that are reflected in our chart. If Chiron is in the 7th house, maybe your soul wanted to deeply experience relating with others to experience who you are, maybe it wanted to experience a richness of relating to others, and cultivate a discernment about what the right relationships for you look like. However if lessons are not headed, maybe you could constantly feel wounded in relationships, that you always end up in the same patterns, people treating you badly, feeling that you’ll never find ‘the one’ or not worthy of love. The spectrum is vast.

The amazing thing is we can choose.

I love doing readings with people and unpicking where there’s been a self opposed limitation put on themselves that something in their chart is ‘bad’ or they are ‘doomed’ in love.

When we see the upside to every placement, what is possible if we choose to do the inner work, the astrology is possibility one of the most inspiriting personal growth tools to have existed.

When we see Astrology through the lens of spiritual psychology everything changes. If you’ve read something on the internet that has scared you, time to get a proper reading!
